Job summary

Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated pastry/kitchen assistant to support the Pastry Chef with daily production of pastries, cakes, and desserts. You will follow recipes, measure ingredients, and help with mixing, baking, decorating and plating to maintain quality and presentation.

You will work in a fast-paced pastry environment, maintain hygiene, support daily mise en place, and follow safety procedures while collaborating with the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Previous pastry/bakery experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of pastry preparation and baking.
• Able to follow recipes and standard procedures.
• Willing to learn and develop pastry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pastries, cakes, desserts, and other pastry products.
• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
• Assist with mixing, baking, decorating, and plating.
• Ensure products meet quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen and equipment.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist the Pastry Chef and other kitchen staff as required.
