Job summary

United Detergent Industries Sdn. Bhd. is a manufacturer and distributor of detergents and household cleaning products. We seek a Sales Manager to lead the Southern Region sales efforts, supervise staff, and drive revenue and profitability.

You will direct staffing, set targets, coordinate distribution, analyze market data, enforce credit policies, and develop campaigns. Strong branding, product management, and Mandarin proficiency are essential, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years in FMCG industry or equivalent.
• Strong foundations in branding and product management.
• Dynamic with analytical skills and task orientation.
• Ability to travel and work independently.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Experience in sales and trade marketing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control the sales program.
• Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, setting targets and goals, and advising personnel, distributors, and retailers on sales techniques.
• Assigns sales territory to personnel, supervises sales personnel.
• Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist company and customers in promoting sales.
• Implements company’s credit policy, evaluates customer’s credit worthiness, monitors collections and initiates actions to recover debts.
• Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accomplish goals of company.
• Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, market situations and competitors activities.

Requirements:

• ü Degree preferably in Marketing, Market Research or Business Administration.
• ü Minimum 5 years in FMCG industry or equivalent.
• ü Must have good foundations and understanding in branding and product management.
• ü Dynamic with good analytical skills and acute capability in achieving task.
• ü Capable in working under high-pressure situations and under time constraints.
• ü Able to travel and work independently.
• ü Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is required. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• ü Knowledge in sales and trade marketing would be an advantage.
