Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd in Malaysia seeks an AR Operations Specialist to monitor end-to-end AR activities across GCC, ensure SLA adherence, manage escalations and drive process improvements. You will coordinate with internal teams, review aging, disputes and collection risks, and report on key metrics.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in accounting or finance, at least 4 years in finance/credit control, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 4 years in finance/credit control experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP systems/Accounting software preferred.
• Fluent in both oral and written English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor end-to-end AR operations performed by GCC, ensuring SLA adherence and compliance.
• Manage escalations and exceptions from GCC and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee customer and collection risks, including overdue accounts, disputes, D&D, refunds and other matters requiring intervention.
• Drive continuous improvement and reporting of key risks and performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments on issues impacting AR collection and customer accounts.
• Provide management with visibility of key collection risks and actions.
