Hapag-Lloyd Business Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a diligent accounting professional to manage general ledger activities, intercompany settlements, and month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

You will assist budgeting, forecasts, tax filings, and cash management, working with SAP FI/CO and cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls and deliver compliant financial statements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA/CPA/MIA qualifications are highly recommended.
• 3–5 years of GL accounting, banking operations, or financial reporting experience.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and cash position monitoring (CPR).
• Knowledge of local tax requirements (Corporate Tax, SST/GST, Withholding Tax).
• Familiarity with ICCL and ability to identify control improvements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Handle agent settlements, intercompany invoices and settlements, and accounting document postings.
• Assist in annual budget preparation, forecasts, monthly expenditure analysis, and quarterly reporting.
• Assist in preparing financial statements per local accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for prepayments, deposits, provisions, accruals and other balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing and reporting deadlines.
• Assist in quarterly and annual corporate tax filings, indirect tax matters, tax risk assessments, and audits.
• Prepare CPR, account settlements, applicable tax returns, and remittance of funds.
• Record cash and bank transactions, perform bank reconciliations, and update GL.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain sufficient operating funds.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and annual asset reconciliation/count.
• Prepare and coordinate ICCL and identify control gaps with corrective actions.
• Support SAP system maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and related projects.
