Hapag-Lloyd AG is seeking a Coordinator for Cargo Operations Planning & Execution in Malaysia. The role oversees planning and execution of cargo operations, ensuring smooth processes across the shipment lifecycle, including load/discharge and vessel reconciliation.

You will coordinate with partners, verify documentation, prepare manifests and load lists, and handle special cargo manifests while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify cargo documentation, including container lists and DG acceptance.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure timely load and discharge information exchange.
• Prepare and update load lists with container numbers, stowage positions, and DG information.
• Provide special cargo manifests and communicate changes to the load list.
• Provide cost estimates for special cargo, such as break bulk and OOG shipments.
• Support handling of DG containers with special requirements and safety regulations.
• Prepare and provide physical manifests as needed for regulatory compliance.
• Handle damaged containers during load and discharge, coordinating with relevant teams.
• Monitor and approve late gate requests per protocols.
• Maintain records of missing documentation and shortfalls.
• Generate reports on BB info, dangerous cargo, and tank container data.
• Reconcile planned vs. actual load/discharge and identify discrepancies.
• Generate load/discharge counts for reporting.
• Prepare terminal departure reports as needed.
• Maintain deadlines and cut-offs in FIS/Workflow tool.
• Create and approve work orders and transport exceptions for cargo activities.
• Create and distribute manifests for Reefer, DG, and Special cargo.
• Create work orders for port call activities (husbandry, harbour, etc.).
• CheckBlock customs issues and request cargo release after clearance.
• Coordinate physical inspections by customs/surveyors when needed.
