Job summary

Leistritz Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical support and design solutions for projects from FEED to tender.

You will engage customers, support tenders and quotations, and lead bid clarifications as a technical specialist. The role requires hands-on experience with fluid handling systems, a minimum of 3 years in pumps for oil & gas or related industries, and the ability to converse in Mandarin to communicate with clients.

Qualifications

• Hands-on application engineering experience with fluid handling process systems and solutions.
• Minimum 3 years of application engineering experience in pumps for oil & gas, petrochemical, or process industries.
• Familiarity with Incoterms.
• Ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Provide technical support and design solutions for projects from the FEED stage to the tender stage. Engage customers and support tenders and quotations. Lead technical bid clarifications and engineering discussions with customers as a technical specialist. Provide technical support and training to external customers. Perform system design analysis and calculations when required. Execute orders and contracts. Interface with cross‑functional teams such as field applications, customer support/services, and marketing/sales. Create and maintain information in the company CRM system for the solutions offered. Handle tender requirements and specifications professionally and in a timely manner. Engage customers to ensure satisfaction and implement necessary actions to secure bids. Identify new business opportunities and competitors' activities, and propose appropriate counteractions.

About you

Hands‑on application engineering experience with fluid handling process system and solutions

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with subcontractors, agents, and colleagues globally

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to conduct training for customers

Familiarity with and knowledge of Incoterms

Ability to converse in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.

Professional qualification in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of application engineering experience in pumps for the oil & gas, petrochemical, or process industries
