Job summary

IME Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Pre-sales and post-sales technical support engineer for CNC machining applications. You will collaborate with sales and product teams, conduct machine trials, support installations, and develop process documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and 2–3 years in CNC machining or application engineering, with hands-on problem-solving, strong communication, and willingness to travel to customer sites in Johor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of CNC machining, application engineering, or similar role.
• Familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support on machining applications, tooling selection, and process parameters.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Conduct machine trials, cutting tests, time studies, and performance evaluations.
• Support installation, commissioning, and training of CNC machines and machining solutions at customer sites.
• Analyze machining processes and suggest improvements for productivity, cycle time reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Prepare technical documentation including process sheets, tooling layouts, and project reports.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of machining trends, cutting tools, and industry technologies.
• Provide customer training and develop application manuals or standard operating procedures.
• Assist in R&D or pilot projects involving machining-related technologies.
• Work closely with vendors and partners to source the right tooling and machining solutions.
