Job summary

SAMEE Malaysia is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Leader to guide and assist a team in meeting daily production targets. You will set up and troubleshoot CNC milling, lathe, and grinding machines while interpreting drawings and optimizing processes.

Applicants should have a Diploma in Engineering or Machining with at least 5 years in CNC machining. You will mentor junior machinists and ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of jobs.

Qualifications

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering, Machining, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support machinists to achieve daily production targets and company objectives.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling, lathe, and grinding machines.
• Interpret technical drawings, perform machine setups, and optimize machining processes.
• Coordinate test cuts, First Article Inspection (FAI), and fabrication activities to ensure product quality.
• Train and guide junior machinists on machining processes, machine operations, and best practices.
• Monitor machining operations and ensure assigned jobs are completed on time.
• Identify root causes of machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain product quality, machine performance, and workplace safety in accordance with company standards.
• Support production supervisors with job prioritization and shopfloor documentation.

Requirements

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering, Machining, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining or a similar manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of CNC programming/software and machining processes.

• Experience operating CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, Grinding, and conventional machining equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Leadership experience or ability to mentor junior machinists is an added advantage.
