Job summary

Test Tooling Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang invites a skilled CNC programmer to join our precision machining team. You will analyze drawings, prepare Mastercam programs, and ensure accuracy by comparing with designs while selecting tooling and work holding.

You will work on CNC drilling/milling machines, revise programs to fix errors, and support first articles and regular production while maintaining ISO 9001 and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM or diploma in precision machining technology, engineering, or equivalent.
• 4 years’ experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Proficiency in CAD, CAM and Mastercam.
• Capable of programming on Mastercam and holding close tolerances.
• Know how to operate CNC drilling/milling machines.
• Understand and know the use of inspection and measurement tools.
• Proficiency in GD&T application is a plus.
• Experience as a machinist would be preferred.
• Ability to work well in team and follow deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimensions, cuts, speeds and feeds.
• Prepare CNC programming with Mastercam software, monitor programs and ensure accuracy by comparison with drawings.
• Develop work holding and select cutting tools.
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid setup and operation, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup.
• Revise programs to eliminate errors and retest to ensure problems are solved.
• Observe machines on trial runs or simulate to ensure programs and machinery meet specifications.
• Machine components for first articles or production as required.
• Cover duties of colleagues when necessary.
• Ensure production complies with ISO 9001, Safety and 5S requirements.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

1. 1. Analyze drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, machine speeds and feed rate
2. 2. Prepare CNC programming with Mastercam software, monitoring CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with drawing and design.
3. 3. Develop work holding and select cutting tools
4. 4. Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up and operation of machines, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup
5. 5. Revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved
6. 6. Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications
7. 7. May require to machine components for first articles or production
8. 8. Covering duties of colleagues in the same department when necessary
9. 9. Ensure production compliance with the Company's Procedures, ISO 9001, Safety and 5S requirements
10. 10. Carry out any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as and when assigned by the Superior/Management.

Required Qualifications & Experience
