Job summary

ATAS AERO ENGINEERING SDN BHD (AAE) is seeking an Assistant Technician to support routine technical handling and defect rectification of aircraft in Kulai. You will participate in base and line maintenance checks, ensure proper tooling, and uphold housekeeping to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting in spare parts control, shelf-life monitoring, documentation, and stock verification. Opportunities for promotion, parental leave, and related benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Possess minimum of a diploma or a certificate from recognised institution.
• Has basic knowledge on aircraft system.
• Attended the aircraft maintenance essential courses (AMO Part 145; Safety Management System; Human Factor).

Responsibilities

• Assist Technician in routine technical handling and defect rectification of aircraft.
• Assist Technician in base and line maintenance checks.
• Ensure proper tooling is used for specific job.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area and office, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Highlight issues to supervisor.
• Assist Store & Logistic Officer with spare parts handling and stock control.
• Monitor shelf life for parts and materials in storage.
• Assist filing of supporting documents for parts/materials.
• Regularly inspect stores, stock status and value; address deficiencies.
• Perform inventory verification and update stock records.
• Perform any other task assigned by Store and Logistic Officer.

• (i) Assist Technician in routine technical handling and defect rectification of aircraft.
• (ii) Assist Technician in carrying out base and line maintenance checks.
• (iii) To ensure proper tooling is used for specific job.
• (iv) Ensure housekeeping of work area and office, efficient operation, equipment, tools and vehicle are appropriately handled to satisfy the regulatory authority and meet company requirement.
• (v) Highlight all issues arising during daily operations to immediate supervisor.
• (vi) Assist Store & Logistic Officer in handling and control of engineering spares and material efficiently and economically and in accordance to the requirements of the company, manufacturer and CAAM.
• (vii) Perform monitoring and controlling of shelf life for parts and material while in storage.
• (viii) Assist Store & Logistic Officer for filing supporting documents received with each part or material.
• (ix) Regular inspection on the stores, stock holding, stock status and value to ensure deficiencies are promptly addresses to Store & Logistic Officer.
• (x) Perform inventory verification and update the stock records.
• (xi) Any other task assigned by Store and Logistic Officer.

REQUIREMENT:

• (i) Possess minimum of a diploma or a certificate from recognised institution.
• (ii) Has basic knowledge on aircraft system.
• (iii) Passed company requirements’ assessment with EM.
• (iv) Additional of basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• (v) Attended the aircraft maintenance essential courses but not limited to:

1. (1) AMO Part 145;
2. (2) Safety Management System;
3. (3) Human Factor;
