Job summary

CHM Hotels in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking an experienced technician to maintain and inspect equipment and facilities across our properties. You will troubleshoot faults, perform repairs, and respond to urgent maintenance requests to minimise disruption to guests and operations.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in a related field, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality, aviation, or transportation industry
• Diploma/Degree in related field.
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and management
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by operational needs

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure they meet operational standards and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with machinery, systems, and equipment, and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize operational disruption
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing for compliance and tracking purposes
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal impact on business operations
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules and manufacturer guidelines
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
• Assist in training junior staff members and share technical knowledge to support team development
