Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1/B2) to support maintenance operations at our Shah Alam base. You will ensure compliance with CAAM requirements, oversee maintenance tasks, and uphold high safety and technical standards.

With a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, you will lead a team of technicians, manage documentation, and be on call for emergencies, while collaborating closely with the Lead Engineer to keep aircraft on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Current CAAM license or equivalent authority required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2).
  • Deep knowledge of aircraft systems and operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies.
  • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain aircraft per approved documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete maintenance checks/tasks and dispatch aircraft timely with high safety standards.
  • Manage a pool of technicians reporting to the LAE.
  • Record all aircraft documents and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Suggest tools/modifications to improve efficiency.
  • Rectify defects per Aircraft Maintenance Manual and procedures.
  • Document/label components installed/removed.
  • Ensure high work quality and productivity for assigned tasks.
  • Inspect and record stores items before issue.
  • Meet EDTO requirements per Operators' Maintenance Manual.
  • Attend scheduled or standby backup to support maintenance operations.
  • Obtain Airside Driving Permit as required.
  • Advise Lead Engineer on defects or potential problems affecting progress.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Lead Engineer.

1. Ensure aircraft are maintained as per the requirements of approved documents and other regulatory requirements in the most efficient and economical manner.

2. Ensure aircraft maintenance checks/tasks are completed and/or aircraft are dispatched in a timely manner and with the highest technical efficiency and safety standard.

3. Manage a pool of technicians reporting to each LAE.

4. Ensure all aircraft documents and reports are properly recorded, accurate and promptly submitted.

5. Propose tools, modifications or different work procedures to improve efficiency.

6. Ensure defects are rectified accurately and works are carried out as per current Aircraft Maintenance Manual and other approved procedures.

7. Ensure proper documentation/label is available for all components installed/removed.

8. Ensure a high level of work quality and productivity of tasks assigned to him/her.

9. Ensure all parts/spares taken from designated stores are recorded and to inspect the items for general condition before taken out of the store.

10. Ensure EDTO requirements are met in accordance with the operators’ EDTO Maintenance Manual.

11. Attend scheduled or standby backup as required to support maintenance operations.

12. Obtain Airside Driving Permit from the relevant airport authorities.

13. To assist and advise the Lead Engineer immediately on defects or potential problems which will impact the progress and flow of aircraft maintenance activities.

14. To carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Lead Engineer.

Requirements:

- Must hold a current license from the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM) or equivalent authority

- Minimum of 3 years' experience as Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2 Categories)

-In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and operations

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies

- Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights
