Job summary

Parker Hannifin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, also known as Parker Aerospace, is a 100% maintenance, repair & overhaul facility operating since 2001, specializing in aerospace fuel nozzle inspection, repair and overhaul. We are expanding and seeking Maintenance Technicians to support equipment, buildings and facility systems.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• SPM/SVM/SKM Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline is an added advantage.
• 2–3 years hands-on maintenance experience in facilities or related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Familiar with maintenance tools and safe work practices.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficient with MS Office applications and Excel.
• Strong communication in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Good teamwork, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays for emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Specialist in maintenance on machinery, equipment, buildings and HVAC systems.
• Maintain housekeeping and inventory records within Maintenance Department.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems per procedures.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure proper functionality.
• Respond to facility emergencies and support related alarms per procedures.
• Troubleshoot reported maintenance issues and escalate complex problems.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and safe for operations.
• Follow maintenance schedule to complete inspections and tasks on time.
• Participate in CI and HPT activities to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Support Engineering in record-keeping and compliance activities (AS9100).
• Perform 5S and other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (3 positions vacant - expansion)

Position Summary :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment, building system, and infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable operations. The role performs routine preventive maintenance, repair activities, basic troubleshooting, safety inspections, and housekeeping supporting compliance with company policies and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• 1. Assist Maintenance Specialist in carrying out maintenance activities on machinery, equipment, buildings, and facility systems, including ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• 2. Maintain good housekeeping standards and inventory records within the Maintenance Department.
• 3. Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems in accordance with established procedures.
• 4. Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and smoke detectors, to ensure proper functionality.
• 5. Respond to facility-related emergencies and support emergencies respond activities involving HVAC, security, and building system alarms in accordance with established procedures. Support monitoring and respond activities during off-hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• 6. Inspect and perform basic troubleshooting of maintenance issues reported by employees through the Maintenance Work Order system and escape complex issues when necessary.
• 7. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition to support safe and effective maintenance operations.
• 8. Follow the maintenance schedule to ensure routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and assigned tasks are completed on time.
• 9. Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and High-Performance Team (HPT) activities to like improve maintenance effectiveness, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.
• 10. Assist the Engineering team in maintaining records and supporting compliance activities related to AS9100 and other applicable standards.
• 11. Perform 5S activities to maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• 12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate superior or manager.

Qualification :

• 1. Minimum Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) / Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) / Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM Level 3) or equivalent technical qualification. Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline is an added advantage.
• 2. Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in facility, building and equipment maintenance, or a related technical field.
• 3. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building maintenance systems.
• 4. Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and safe work practices.
• 5. Able to perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities.
• 6. Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office application. Good in Microsoft Excel.
• 7. Capable to provide mechanical & electrical diagnosis on equipment issues.
• 8. Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• 9. Good teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• 10. Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• 11. Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and support emergency maintenance activities required.
