Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced After Sales Service Engineer to join our engineering team in Johor Bahru. This full-time role provides on-site technical support for X-Ray and related electrical systems, ensuring peak performance and high customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, prepare detailed service reports, and train customers on proper operation.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic engineering qualification (Diploma or Degree).
• 3–5 years in after-sales service or field service engineering in electrical/electronic industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems and troubleshooting.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with testing equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Good communication and customer-service orientation.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel within service area.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours.

About the role

Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced After Sales Service Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, offering an excellent opportunity to deliver exceptional customer support and technical expertise in the electrical and electronic engineering sector. We are X-Ray Machine manufacturing plant.

In this role, you will be the critical link between our customers and our technical capabilities, ensuring that all installed systems and equipment operate at peak performance. You will be responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction through timely, professional service delivery and technical problem-solving. This position is vital to building lasting client relationships and upholding Ray Tech's reputation for excellence in after-sales support.

Key responsibilities

Respond promptly to customer service requests and provide on-site technical support for X-Ray machine, electrical and electronic systems and equipment

Perform preventative maintenance checks and scheduled servicing on installed X-Ray machine systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

Repair or replace defective components, parts and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards

Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records for each customer and installed system

Provide technical guidance and training to customers on the proper operation and care of equipment

Liaise with customers to understand their requirements, manage expectations and ensure satisfaction with service delivery

Coordinate with the technical team and management to elevate complex issues and arrange additional support when necessary

Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies during all service activities

What we’re looking for

A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline (Diploma or Degree)

Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in after-sales service, field service engineering or technical support roles within the electrical or electronic engineering industry

Strong technical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues quickly and implement reliable solutions

Proficiency in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and specialised diagnostic software

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals and maintenance documentation

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in clear, understandable terms

Professional customer service orientation with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and retention

Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently

Valid driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites within the service area

Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required for urgent customer issues

Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with service management software or CMMS systems would be advantageous
