Job summary

Polydamic Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an entry-level accountant to support daily financial operations, including invoicing, journal entries, and cash book maintenance.

You will handle accounts payable and receivable, maintain orderly filing, and ensure timely recording of transactions while upholding strict confidentiality. The role also provides general admin support and coordination with purchasing and other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounting

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level accounting duties including billing, journal entries, and cash book entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable and update records.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
• Provide general administrative support to the department.
• Assist purchasing with material procurement and deliveries.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and external parties.
• Carry out ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Job description

Support the accounting department in daily operations by performing entry-level accounting duties, including billing, journal entries, cash book entries, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and updating accounting records.

Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the accounting system.

Maintain proper and systematic filing of accounting and supporting documents.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and company information.

Provide general administrative support to the department.

Assist the purchasing department with material procurement, coordination of deliveries, and transportation arrangements.

Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and external parties when necessary.

Carry out any other ad-hoc assignments as instructed by Superior and Management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounting
