Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily AR functions in Malaysia. You will monitor payments, identify delays, resolve queries, and ensure accurate invoicing and cash posting. Strong Excel and ERP proficiency with 5+ years in finance are expected.

You will interact with customers on outstanding payments, participate in month-end close, and maintain controls and records within the accounting system. This role supports regional finance operations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections.
• Strong reconciliation and month-end closing experience.
• Comfortable interacting with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Good understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily Accounts Receivable functions.

Job description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle customer accounts in order to maintain effective collection efforts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage daily Accounts Receivable functions.
• Monitoring customer payments and identifying risk of delayed payments.
• Ensure customer queries are attended to and resolved in a timely manner.
• Proactive identification and resolution of potential difficult debtors account.
• Monitor and follow up on daily collections
• Ensures the invoices and receipts are performed in good manner
• Reconciliation of debtors aging and collections
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation and update cashbook
• Knowledge of indirect tax would be an added advantage
• Ensure month end close duties are prioritized and deadline are delivered on time
• Ensure all account receivable records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system
• Participate in month end closing, including accruals, reconciliation, and journal entries
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 5 years of working experience in the Finance & Accounting is required for this position.

Education:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, bachelor's degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
• Possess mature personality, good communication skill, meticulous and able to work with all levels of staff in the organization
• Familiar with accounting software would be preferred
