Job summary

KAEFER (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to manage a high volume of supplier invoices and payments with accuracy.

You will ensure policy compliance, support month-end activities, and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience with SAP and Excel is preferred; this is a dynamic, growing workplace.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years working experience in Accounts Payable role preferably within Construction or Engineering industries.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact and liaise with supplier and various stakeholders.
• Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing business requirements and a growing workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Process PO and non-PO invoices including employee expense claims
• Ensure compliance with the No PO No Pay policy.
• Review invoice details in ESKER and verify supplier details including ABN, GST, payment terms and coding.
• Allocate correct GL, Cost Centre and WBS coding.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier and stakeholder enquiries promptly.
• Follow up outstanding approvals and goods receipts.
• Support weekly payment runs and urgent payment requests.
• Verify supplier banking details and identify fraud risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency.

Job description

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing high volume of invoice processing (approx. 800-1000 per month), supplier payments and vendor related transactions with a high level of accuracy. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and financial controls as well as perform month end activities. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
