Job summary

Big Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will handle month-end closings, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations, and support tax schedules and statutory audits. Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Management or equivalent.
• At least 1 year working experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of MFRS and internal control principles is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel; ERP/SAP experience is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger; perform balance sheet reconciliations (banks, accruals, prepayments, intercompany).
• Monitor and clear outstanding items promptly.
• Assist in preparing tax-related schedules and supporting documents for corporate tax filing.
• Liaise with tax agents to provide data and respond to queries.
• Support annual tax computation and tax audit processes.
• Support annual statutory audit and address auditor queries on time; ensure documentation complies with internal controls and policies.
• Assist superior to liaise with external parties such as company secretary, auditors, tax agents, bankers and other authorities.
• Carry out other duties and ad-hoc assignments as required.
