Job summary

Big Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the General Ledger, monthly closings, AR reconciliations, and inter-company activities. You will prepare journal entries, monitor AR aging, support audit queries, and drive process improvements with ERP systems such as SAP, MS Office, and G-Suite.

Candidates should have a degree or Diploma in accounting and at least 1 year of GL experience, with strong communication and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in General Ledger or accounting functions is an added advantage.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office, G-Suite, or SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain General Ledger monthly journal entries with proper documentation.
• Reconcile AR balance sheet accounts monthly and analyse variances.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for sales, cash, credit cards, and bank balances.
• Support inter-company reconciliations when required.
• Ensure timely monthly closing of AR accounts.
• Monitor AR ageing and collect overdue balances.
• Attend auditors and support stakeholders; participate in process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Prepare and maintain General Ledger monthly journal entries with proper documentation (eg. bank charges, Interco transactions, etc)

Ensure AR balance sheet accounts are reconciled and analysed on a monthly basis

Perform monthly reconciliations for sales, cash, credit cards, and bank balances on a timely basis

Support inter-company reconciliations (when required)

2. Month-End Closing

Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of AR accounts in accordance with reporting deadlines

3. Credit Control & Collection

Monitor AR ageing and follow up on overdue balances.

Manage collection activities and ensure effective dispute resolution

Escalate long outstanding items to the Corporate Sales Team for further action (monthly basis).

Monitor credit exposure and enforce credit control procedures, including credit reviews, credit holds, and release approvals. (new skill set)

4. Stakeholder Management

Attend to auditors on audit-related queries

Provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders

Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Support system enhancements and efficiency improvements

6. Ad-hoc Duties

Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements :
