PRIMA ASIA SDN BHD is seeking an Accounts Executive to support growing business operations. The role covers full set of accounts, GL, AP and AR, with responsibilities spanning month-end closing, financial reporting and cash flow management.

The candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in Accounting, relevant experience, and a keen eye for detail. FMCG/distribution experience is a plus; we offer competitive salary and structured incentives in a dynamic, high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including GL, AP and AR
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Maintain daily accounting operations: invoicing, collections, payments
• Perform month-end closing including journals and adjustments
• Monitor cash flow, billing, collections and stock-related transactions
• Assist with audit, tax matters and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Operations and Management for accurate records
• Provide timely financial information to Management for decision-making

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and independent Accounts Executive to support our growing business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and statements of accounts.

Manage daily accounting operations, including invoicing, collections, payments, stock-related transactions and cash float.

Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation and processing of journals and necessary adjustments.

Prepare and monitor key financial reports, including:

• Budget and expense analysis
• Cost recovery
• Billing and collection status
• Cash flow status

Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on collections to ensure healthy cash flow.

Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, supporting documents and systematic filing.

Assist with annual audit, tax matters and other statutory requirements.

Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies when required.

Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Operations and Management to ensure accurate financial and stock records.

Provide timely financial information and reports to Management for decision-making.

Perform any other accounting, administrative or ad hoc duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Relevant working experience in accounting or finance.

Experience handling a full set of accounts is preferred.

FMCG / distribution industry experience will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Mature, responsible and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Able to perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to coordinate effectively with internal departments, customers and suppliers.
