Job summary

SAFETY FIRE is seeking a responsible Accounts Executive to manage the company's books and ensure accurate financial records using SQL Accounting Software. You will handle AP/AR/GL, perform daily transactions, prepare invoices and vouchers, and assist in payroll and statutory submissions.

Collaboration with auditors and tax agents will be part of your duties, with attention to compliance and detail. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience; full set of accounts required.
• Experience with SQL Accounting Software preferred.
• Knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB helpful.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).
• Perform daily accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, credit notes and debit notes.
• Perform bank reconciliation and monthly account closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in SQL Accounting Software.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audit and tax purposes.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other relevant parties when required.
• Assist in payroll processing and statutory submissions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and up to date.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the company's accounting functions and maintaining a complete set of accounts using SQL Accounting Software.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).

Perform daily accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.

Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, credit notes and debit notes.

Perform bank reconciliation and monthly account closing.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Maintain accurate accounting records in SQL Accounting Software.

Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audit and tax purposes.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other relevant parties when required.

About you

Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Must have experience handling full set of accounts.

Experience using SQL Accounting Software is highly preferred.

Knowledge of SQL Payroll will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of AP, AR, GL and bank reconciliation.

Familiar with EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB.

Experience dealing with auditors and tax agents is an advantage.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
