Job summary

UNIVERSAL TRAVELLER SHOP SDN BHD is seeking an Accounts Executive in Kuala Lumpur to support accounting processes in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll reconcile online orders with invoices, ensure marketplace fees and shipping are correctly recorded, and prepare monthly closings and various management reports.

Willing to work in Taman Midah, Cheras; you’ll handle inter-company billing, bank reconciliations, and assist with audits, tax, and company secretarial matters.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting support role.
• Proficiency in data entry, high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (ERP).

Responsibilities

• Reconcile online orders from Marketplaces with invoices in accounting system.
• Ensure marketplace transactions (transaction fee, commission, shipping) are recorded correctly.
• Prepare inter-company billing for Trade and Non-Trade.
• Prepare month end closing journals.
• Compile sales report for HR’s verification by every 22th of the month.
• Prepare royalty report by every 10th of the month.
• Assist Manager to prepare management reporting.
• Assist Manager to prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation (accruals, fixed assets, prepayment, inter-company).
• Prepare Bank reconciliation.
• Assist Manager for audit, tax, Company Secretary, banks and related matters.
• Carry out stock take and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies; handle filing and records.

Job description

Reconcile the online orders from Marketplaces portals with invoices.

Ensure the Marketplaces transactions such as transaction fee, commission fee, shipping fee & etc. have been recorded correctly in accounting system.

Prepare inter-company billing for Trade and Non-Trade.

Prepare month end closing journals.

Compile sales report for HR’s verification by every 22th of the month.

Prepare royalty report by every 10th of the month.

Assist Manager to prepare management reporting.

Assist Manager to prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation such as accruals, fixed assets, prepayment, inter-company account and etc.

Prepare Bank reconciliation.

Assist Manager for matters related to Audit, Tax, Company Secretary, banks and others.

Carrying out stock take.

Ensuring all accounting system, practices, controls and procedure are fully compliance with company’s policy.

Handle filing, records keeping and ensuring accuracy of documents filing.

Job Requirements

Possess a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting support role, preferably within a retail or similar fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems).

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to learn & positive attitude.

Willing to work in Taman Midah, Cheras.
