Private Advertiser is seeking an Accounts & Admin Executive to join our Kuching team. Based at the Stutong area, you will manage financial transactions, ledgers, payroll, and general admin tasks.
The role requires a Diploma/degree in Accounting or related field and 2–3 years in a full accounting cycle. You will work with auditors, tax authorities and suppliers, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information, and maintain effective communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
We are seeking for an Accounts & Admin Executive to join our growing team in Kuching, Sarawak. Work location will be based at Stutong area.
Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers
Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies
Preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Handling the preparation of month-end and year-end financial closing processes
Handling payroll administration and related documentation
Managing general administrative duties including filing and correspondence
Liaising with external parties such as auditors, tax authorities, and suppliers
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial and administrative information
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification
Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar accounting role, preferably 2-3 years in a full accounting cycle
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach within the team
Integrity and trustworthiness in handling confidential financial information
Knowledge of Malaysian taxation and accounting regulations is advantageous
Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
