Job summary

Slurp & Burp Concept Sdn Bhd is hiring an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. You will support routine accounting, filing, and reconciliation tasks while maintaining accurate records in a growing food and beverage company.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting/Finance, experience in MYOB and Excel, and strong attention to detail. You will collaborate with teams on procurement and HR documentation, contributing to overall financial health.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience in an accounting role such as Assistant Accountant or similar.
• Proficiency with MYOB and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine accounting entries and bookkeeping tasks.
• Prepare and file payment vouchers, invoices, receipts and related documents.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable (bank and supplier).
• Assist in monthly inventory and sales reporting.
• Organise filing system for hard and soft copy records.
• Assist in procurement and HR documentation tasks.
• Support Head of Finance with various duties as required.

About the role

Slurp & Burp Concept Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position based in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a dynamic and growing business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine accounting entries in the accounting system and other standard bookkeeping tasks
• Prepare and file all types of accounting related documents including payment vouchers, supporting documents, receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, quotations, and delivery orders
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable (Bank and Supplier payables)
• Assist in preparation of monthly inventory reports, inventory count and sales reports
• Keep an organized filing system for both hard and soft copy documents
• Assist in matters pertaining to procurement
• Assist in all matters pertaining to HR documentation and completeness
• Perform any other accounting tasks as may be required by the Head of Finance from time to time

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Executive or similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (MYOB preferred) and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Professional integrity and commitment to confidentiality
• Perform any other accounting tasks as may be required by the Head of Finance from time to time
