Job summary

HOMETASTE TECH SDN. BHD. is seeking a diligent finance associate to manage full accounting duties, including journal entries, GL, and P&L, while supporting monthly reporting and statutory compliance. The role requires coordinating with auditors and tax agents and handling SST matters.

Fresh graduates are welcome; strong analytical and interpersonal skills in Mandarin and English are essential for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Accounting or equivalent.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English; able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Have internship experience in related field.
• Analytical, meticulous and independent with good inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including journal entries, general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet and P&L.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist in accounting entries such as accruals, depreciation, hire purchase, leasing and loan transactions.
• Support cash flow monitoring and reporting.
• Assist in SST and tax-related matters where required.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and relevant authorities.
• Assist in audit processes and preparation of audit schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Accounting or any other equivalent qualification.

Work with SQL software (prior experience a plus)

Fluent in Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Have internship experience in related field

Ensure timely and accurate financial closing and compliance with local statutory requirements / accounting standards

Other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Senior Account Executive
