Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts and ensure timely financial reporting. The role requires handling GL, AR, AP and bank reconciliations with accuracy and independence.

You will monitor daily transactions, cash flow and staff reimbursements, and prepare regular management reports. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and auditors.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
• Experience handling bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP and bank reconciliation independently.
• Monitor daily accounting events and manage petty cash, cash flow, and staff reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly, weekly and daily management reports for review purposes.
• Ensure expenses in P&L stay within approved budgets.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and company secretaries; coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

Handle full set account including GL, AR, AP and Bank reconciliation independently (Will be an advantage).

Responsible for daily accounting event PNL monitoring, Petty Cash, Cash Flow, monthly staff claim payments & weekly payments.

Preparing monthly, weekly and daily reports for Management review purposes.

Ensuring event expenses in PNL are within approved budget.

Work closely and communicate with other colleagues from other department to resolve any discrepancies in relationship to the book entry, invoicing, progress payment.

Dealing with bank officers on any matters relating to bank transactions.

Issue payment voucher, Invoices, DO, Quotation - Liaising with auditors, tax agent and Company Secretaries.

Making sure all Audits and Taxation is done timely and accordingly.

Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.

Handling international e-commerce tax.

Other accounting ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree in related field.

Minimum of 5 year of related experience.

Language: English, Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
