Job summary

CITI TRENCHLESS SDN BHD in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our finance team. You will manage full accounting duties including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance, with opportunities for career growth in a dynamic, expanding company.

We value multilingual capability (Malay, English and Mandarin is a plus), meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience; audit firm experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficient in Malay, English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records (A/R, A/P, GL).
• Preparing monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and reports for management.
• Ensuring timely and accurate tax filings (income tax, GST/SST, etc.).
• Managing e-Invoicing processes in compliance with regulations (validation, submission, reconciliation).
• Providing support to the finance team and assisting with ad-hoc projects.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhancing efficiency.

About the role

CITI TRENCHLESS SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As an Account Executive/Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the full range of accounting duties for our business, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within our dynamic and rapidly expanding company.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.

Preparing monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and other reports for management.

Ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, including income tax, GST/SST, and other relevant taxes.

Managing e-Invoicing processes in compliance with regulatory requirements (including validation, submission, and reconciliation).

Providing support to the finance team and assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

Required language(s): Malay, English and Mandarin (are advantage).

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the accounting field; experience in an audit firm is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

Required skills: Accounting, Financial Reporting, E-Invoicing (LHDN), SST/GST knowledge, able to work independently, problem solver, team player, and detail-oriented.

Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
