Job summary

YING YOU TRADING SDN BHD is seeking an enthusiastic Account Executive on a contract basis in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, combining accounting and admin responsibilities in a hybrid role. The position supports payroll, vendor relations, and financial record-keeping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or higher in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin, with experience in bookkeeping or accounts management in a small business, and proficiency in accounting software

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounts management or similar roles in small business or practice.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong numeracy with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles; tax procedures and compliance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments and reconciliation.
• Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining general ledger entries.
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements and cash management reports.
• Supporting monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Providing payroll processing support and employee record maintenance.
• Handling administrative duties, filing, data entry and document management.
• Managing office supplies, vendor relationships and purchasing.
• Supporting tax compliance activities and audit preparations.

About the role

YING YOU TRADING SDN BHD is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Account Executive professional to join our team in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. This is a Contract Basis that combines accounting and administrative responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop a versatile skill set in a small to medium-sized business environment. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial records and operational efficiency of our organisation, working closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment verification and reconciliation

Recording daily financial transactions accurately and maintaining general ledger entries

Preparing and reconciling bank statements and cash management reports

Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports

Handling administrative duties including filing, data entry, correspondence and document management

Assisting with payroll processing and employee record maintenance

Managing office supplies, inventory and vendor relationships

Processing purchase orders and maintaining vendor documentation

Supporting tax compliance activities and assisting with audit preparations

Providing administrative support to management and various departments as needed

What we’re looking for

Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field

Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts management or similar accounting roles within a small business or accounting practice

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong numeracy skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Professional demeanour and reliability

Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

Experience with tax procedures and compliance requirements would be advantageous
