Job summary

Kinderpine Sdn. Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

This full-time role involves managing accounting operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting timely financial reporting to strengthen the organisation's financial health. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in financial accounting, strong Excel skills, and a solid grasp of Malaysian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel with strong data analysis.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to hit deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team.
• Professional and ethical handling of sensitive financial information.
• Membership with MIA or MICPA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts with accurate classification.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with invoice verification.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules per accounting standards and policies.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closings including accruals and deferrals.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on queries.
• Maintain documentation and filing systems for accounting records.
• Support audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with accounting regulations and policies.

About the role

Kinderpine Sdn. Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team. This is a full-time position based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing essential support to our accounting department. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our financial reporting remains accurate, compliant, and timely, directly contributing to the organisation's financial health and decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals, deferrals and adjusting entries
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and discrepancies
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and filing systems for all accounting records
• Support the audit process by preparing required schedules and documentation
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company accounting policies

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and practices relevant to Malaysian accounting requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Professional and ethical approach to handling sensitive financial information
• Membership with professional accounting bodies such as MIA or MICPA is advantageous
