Job summary

Barentz Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. invites an Account Executive to join our Finance team in Malaysia. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks and support monthly closings in a dynamic multinational environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, proficiency with ERP systems, and strong analytical and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will collaborate across functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in a multinational company will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, and e-Invoicing requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar) is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently while being an effective team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Prepare accurate journal entries, monthly schedules, and financial reports.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.
• Process supplier payments and monitor customer collections.
• Assist in preparing cash flow reports and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, SST regulations, and e-Invoicing requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory submissions.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support ERP system enhancements, finance process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Assistant Finance Manager.
