Ambuzz Trading (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly detail-oriented Account Executive to manage full-spectrum accounting for two related companies in a fast-paced FMCG/trading environment. You will handle AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and generate monthly management accounts with strong financial discipline.

Hands-on experience with Xero and SQL accounting systems, plus excellent Excel skills, are required. You will work independently while collaborating with the team to ensure compliance and accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of full-spectrum accounting experience.
• Experience in FMCG, trading, manufacturing, retail or distribution preferred.
• Proficient with Xero accounting software.
• Working knowledge of SQL accounting systems and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-spectrum accounting for two related entities (AP/AR/GL and month-end close).
• Prepare monthly management accounts and generate financial reports.
• Maintain records, perform bank and ledger reconciliations, and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Assist with SST, tax filings, SST compliance, and statutory submissions.
• Support process improvements and finance automation initiatives.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive with strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent financial discipline. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of accounting functions for two related companies, including management accounts, cash flow monitoring, budgeting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.

This role requires hands-on experience with Xero and SQL accounting systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage financial operations independently in a fast-paced FMCG and trading environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFull Spectrum Accounting

• Handle the complete accounting cycle including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts for multiple business entities.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and generate financial reports including:
• Balance Sheet
• Cash Flow Report
• Cashbook
• Creditor & Debtor Reports
• Budget and variance reports
• Monitor financial performance and provide management with timely financial insights.

Cash Flow & Budget Management

• Monitor daily cash flow and maintain healthy working capital across the group.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare and execute scheduled payments to suppliers, vendors, and statutory bodies.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile inventory-related transactions and intercompany balances where applicable.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

• Prepare tax-related schedules and assist with SST, tax filings, and statutory submissions.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Manage and maintain accounting systems including Xero and SQL.
• Support the implementation of financial controls, SOPs, and process improvements.
• Assist in finance automation and reporting enhancement initiatives.

Administrative Support

• Handle employee claims, payment vouchers, invoices, and receipt documentation.
• Provide minor HR and administrative support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in full-spectrum accounting.
• Experience in FMCG, trading, manufacturing, retail, or distribution industries is highly preferred.
• Strong practical experience with Xero accounting software.
• Working knowledge of SQL accounting systems and financial reporting.
• Experience handling intercompany / related party transactions is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• A proactive team player with a positive and approachable attitude.
