Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an accountant to manage full sets of accounts and daily financial operations in Kuala Lumpur. You will prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements and liaise with auditors and external parties.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, a degree or diploma in accounting, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Independent work, deadlines and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Full set of accounts experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements.
• Proficient with Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare bank reconciliation and monitor company cash flow.
• Handle SST, tax, audit and other statutory matters.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks and external parties.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and documents.
• Monitor timely payment of suppliers and statutory obligations.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

• Monitor and ensure timely payment of suppliers and statutory obligations.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Malaysian statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as SQL / UBS is an advantage.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
