Job summary

Green Island Feed Mills Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a capable accountant to manage full-set accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations, and to deliver accurate monthly management reports.

You will support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, SST/e-Invoicing compliance, and cost analysis, liaising with auditors and suppliers while maintaining rigorous financial records in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of full-set accounts and basic Malaysian taxation.
• Familiarity with SST and e-Invoicing and accounting software.
• Manufacturing, feed-milling, agriculture, or FMCG experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and supporting schedules.
• Process supplier invoices, customer billing, payments, receipts, and credit notes.
• Monitor customer collections, outstanding balances, and supplier payments.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and proper filing of financial documents.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and cost analysis.
• Prepare and submit SST, e-Invoices, and other statutory documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, customers, and government authorities.
• Support inventory reconciliation and manufacturing-costing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and Malaysian statutory requirements.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements
