Job summary

HOMA Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive to join the finance team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, and support the broader finance function to ensure robust controls and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 1-3 years in accounts/finance, proficiency in accounting software and Excel, and strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounts or finance role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Understanding of relevant accounting standards and tax regulations in Malaysia.
• Reliability and integrity when handling confidential financial information.
• Preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing or engineering industries.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, LCCI or similar qualifications are advantageous.
• Able communicate with Mandarin, Malay and English to liaise with diverse clients, suppliers, or associates.

Responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Recording financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger entries and supporting documentation
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies
• Preparing financial reports and statements under supervision
• Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Managing petty cash and ensuring proper documentation of expenses
• Assisting with invoice processing and expense claim verification
• Performing data entry and maintaining accurate accounting records
• Supporting audit activities and providing required documentation
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related matters
