Company Overview

Our client is a well-established Logistics MNC that is a strong player in its industry. In line with their business expansion, they are looking to bring on board an Account Assistant to join their team in Klang.

The New Role

• Ensure timely preparation of financial reports/statements and examination of monthly accounts for submission to the Management with a tight deadline.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate and complete supporting documentation and complete monthly closing procedures.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules according to monthly reporting deliverables and analysing, correcting discrepancies/variances.
• Manage and ensure completeness of intercompany transactions between all subsidiaries.
• Assist on the preparation and updates of monthly/quarterly forecast and budget.
• Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements for the responsible entities, handling audit-related matters to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in company secretarial matters and taxation adhering to company policies and regulations.
• Liaise with different departments within the Group, such as operations, treasury, and tax.
• Work collaboratively in identification and support of continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other accounting/finance related duties or tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirements to Succeed

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Internship in Finance & Accounting field/sector is a plus.
• Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline Oriented, well-versed with IFRS & MFRS, Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills, well-versed with Malaysia Taxation matters.
• Positive attitude, passion for hard work and growth, multitasking ability, and team player.
