Job summary

Schneider Electric in Mexico City (Rojo Gómez plant) is seeking a Warehouse Process Specialist to lead the transformation of warehouse operations, optimize material flow, and deliver improvements in safety, quality and service levels. You will drive Lean projects, collaborate with Planning, Logistics and Manufacturing, and mentor teams in problem solving.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in warehouse or logistics engineering, green/black belt in Lean, strong data skills (Excel, Power BI/Tableau),

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field.
  • 4+ years in warehouse operations, logistics engineering, or process improvement.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects with measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, optimization, and transformation of warehouse processes.
  • Drive safety, quality, service level, and productivity improvements.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing and Procurement teams.
  • Lead Kaizen events and Lean projects; analyze performance and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Mentor teams in Lean methods and problem solving.

Job description

Our warehouse process specialists are creative problem solvers, out-of-the-box thinkers, who help to make our supply chain better and more efficient, improving and designing warehouse processes. Could you be our next Warehouse Process Specialist?

Mission:
  • Lead the development, optimization, and transformation of warehouse processes to support operational excellence and business growth. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize material flow, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance safety, service levels, productivity, inventory management, and employee engagement, in our Rojo Gómez plant in Mexico City.
A typical day for you might include:
Safety
  • Champion a zero-incident culture through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Lead warehouse safety improvement projects focused on ergonomics, material handling, traffic flow, and workplace organization.
  • Support safety audits, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Promote 5S and safe working practices throughout warehouse operations.
Quality
  • Improve inventory accuracy and transactional compliance.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using Lean problem-solving methodologies.
  • Standardize warehouse processes to reduce variation and operational defects.
  • Support compliance with quality management standards and internal controls.
Service Level
  • Ensure material availability to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Improve warehouse responsiveness and order fulfillment performance.
  • Drive initiatives focused on OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory reliability, and operational flow.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to remove service constraints.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage strategies, and internal material flows.
  • Lead Kaizen events and Lean projects focused on waste elimination and productivity improvement.
  • Evaluate business cases, warehouse investments, and automation opportunities.
  • Leverage data analytics to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
Talent Development
  • Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and training programs.
  • Mentor warehouse teams in Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and employee engagement.
  • Support capability building and succession planning initiatives.
This may be the next step in your career journey if you have:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics engineering, process improvement, or supply chain excellence.
  • Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume logistics environments.
Technical Skills
  • Lean Manufacturing certification (Green Belt preferred, Black Belt a plus).
  • Kaizen, A3 Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Warehouse Design and Layout Optimization.
  • Capacity Planning and Storage Strategies.
  • Material Handling Processes and Equipment.
  • 3PL Management and Logistics Operations.
  • SAP S/4HANA, MAPICS, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Power BI or Tableau knowledge preferred.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
