Welo Data is seeking a Trust & Safety Specialist based in Mexico to join the investigations team. You will handle active fraud cases, verify identities, and uphold data privacy practices while collaborating across teams to strengthen detection and response strategies.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in T&S or related fraud/risk roles, experience with identity signals, and a track record of documenting case notes for audits.

Formación

• 5+ years in T&S, fraud/risk, or identity-verification investigations.
• Direct experience with identity/fraud signals: device fingerprinting, IP geolocation checks, document verification.
• Multi-accounting pattern recognition and linked-account abuse experience.
• Clear, evidence-backed case notes suitable for audit or appeal.
• Knowledge of GDPR or data privacy obligations in handling data.

Responsabilidades

• Run investigations end-to-end: triage flagged accounts, review evidence, reach disposition, and process removals per policy and SLA.
• Own IDV review: verify identity and location signals for flagged/high-risk accounts.
• Conduct manual audits and reviews prioritizing risk over quantity.
• Detect multi-accounting and account integrity abuse across linked accounts and signals.
• Apply a hypothesis-driven investigation method and document dispositions for reproducibility.
• Contribute to detection improvements by reporting new fraud vectors and gaps to the fraud strategy team.
• Handle sensitive data responsibly with GDPR-aligned practices.
• Collaborate with Research Labs, QSA, and Forward Deployment Engineering to address tooling gaps.
