Job summary

Stripe seeks a Tax Account Executive to drive growth with existing and new Stripe Tax customers. You will lead strategic deals, collaborate with core sales, marketing, product teams, and guide customers through the sales process to successful implementations.

You will engage across technical and business stakeholders, manage negotiations, and stay ahead of industry trends to identify new opportunities and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of sales or prospecting experience at a technology company.
• Owns a direct sales quota, with success closing new business or expansion.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with business partners.
• Self-starter with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills for in-person stakeholder meetings.
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations on bespoke agreements.
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft cross-stakeholder solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue and retain users to achieve and over perform on target and KPIs.
• Lead discussions with our largest existing and prospective customers.
• Contribute to go-to-market playbooks with product, marketing, and sales teams.
• Articulate Stripe Tax value to technical and financial stakeholders, including C-suite.
• Develop deep understanding of global indirect tax requirements for potential customers.
• Build and maintain relationships guiding customers through the sales process.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing and customer success teams.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends in data, analytics and reporting.
• Identify expansion opportunities to drive adoption of compliance tools.
• Lead renewal conversations leveraging evolving business needs.
• Ensure customers go live promptly by addressing outstanding questions.
