Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Sales Support Engineer to shape winning market strategies and build compelling technical and commercial proposals.

You will work at the intersection of technology and sales, collaborating with sales teams, project managers and clients daily, using your substations expertise to guide every offer. You will grow rapidly, developing commercial skills alongside deep technical knowledge and becoming a trusted voice in client negotiations and product presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Systems or Electrotechnical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power equipment, systems and high-voltage applications.
• Experience in application engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Proven ability to work with customers in both technical and commercial environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals based on client specifications and sales strategy.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings with the project team.
• Create and review local sales support strategies aligned with global direction.
• Ensure all competitive proposals reflect current market conditions and client context.
• Contribute to risk review processes in line with company policies.
• Develop technical descriptions of products and electrical solutions for proposals.
• Estimate costs and prepare final proposal documentation with accuracy.
• Serve as the key technical resource during client meetings and negotiations.
• Support product and solution presentations, including training-related offers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
