Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Procurement Team Leader (PPTL) to drive procurement execution across Grid Solutions projects in North America. You will lead a team of Project Buyers and PPLMs, ensure on-time PO issuance, budget adherence, and strict compliance with GE Vernova policies.

The role emphasizes KPI achievement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and proactive risk management across functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement or supply chain experience in project-based industries (Energy, Industrial, EPC, or Manufacturing).
• At least 3 years of team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes, supplier management, and ERP systems (SAP).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement execution activities, ensuring timely PO creation, approvals, documentation, and expediting in line with project schedules.
• Act as the first point of escalation for procurement execution and supplier-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication with internal stakeholders.
• Track and report procurement performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, PO Cycle Time, Savings, Claim Resolution, etc.) and drive improvement actions.
• Conduct regular team meetings with the team.
• Provide onboarding and continuous training to the team members.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen performance and problem-solving.
• Hold regular one-to-one discussions to give feedback and support growth.
• Foster a culture of operational discipline, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
