Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an ITR Project Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership on aero extended scope projects. You will direct engineering and design from proposal through execution, take final engineering responsibility on technical issues, and coordinate interfaces among GE teams, suppliers, customers and subcontractors.

You will lead a cross-functional team, develop schedules and budgets, manage risk, and ensure compliance with ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of power plant engineering experience.
• Willing to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Willing to travel, domestically and internationally.
• Proficient in P6, Documentum, and PDMS tool suite.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of one or several projects from proposal preparation until the end of GE contractual obligations.
• Manage a cross functional engineering team and executes as part of the ITR (ITO+OTR) process.
• Develops and monitors project engineering schedule and budget.
• Executes per applicable Power Plant Engineering processes.
• Tracks and prioritizes resolution of project action items and critical technical issues.
• Integrates customer/partner and GE engineering schedules into the overall project schedule and reports on status.
• Develops and manages project technical strategy to mitigate risk and make decisions with conceptual engineering judgment.
• Reviews customer specifications and communicates contract and project requirements to all design functions.
• Ensures feedback for continuous improvement using Lessons Learned.
• Leads risk assessment of technical aspects and applies risk mitigation measures.
