Job summary

UL Solutions in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead small to medium projects from initiation through closure. You will provide leadership to project teams, manage risks and budgets, and serve as the main contact for project activities and stakeholder communications.

The role requires strong PM and leadership skills, experience with PM tools, and the ability to navigate changing priorities while ensuring governance and deliverables align with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Strong project management and team leadership skills.
• Experience with project and portfolio management tools (Excel, Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication with sponsor reporting and escalation experience.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Able to anticipate risks and devise solutions.
• Focused and versatile team player under pressure with adaptability.
• In-depth understanding of project management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.
• Provides leadership and support to project team members.
• Front-line contact on project activities, issues, and risks.
• Manages project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
• Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders, and with Finance to develop ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
• Manages stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly.
• Adheres to governance controls.
• Plans overall project and monitors progress; performs daily project management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manages project budget and financial performance.
• Coordinates projects and their interdependencies.
• Manages resources.
• Aligns deliverables to project outcomes with the business change manager.
• Follows UL Code of Conduct and security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.
