Job summary

Valtech is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team in Mexico City. This role leads medium-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful delivery across scope, timelines, quality, resources, and budget.

The ideal candidate brings strong project and program management capabilities, hands-on experience in agency or creative environments, and solid expertise in the financial management of projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing medium to complex projects or programs from planning through delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering projects within an agency, creative, digital, marketing, or similar client-service environment.
• Strong project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial performance monitoring.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, processes, and governance practices.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and change.
• Ability to identify deviations from project plans and take effective corrective action.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across teams and levels of seniority.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the definition, approach, planning, facilitation, and successful delivery of medium-scale projects.
• Provide effective leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring clarity around priorities, responsibilities, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
• Develop and maintain realistic project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and budgets.
• Manage the financial performance of projects, including budget planning, cost tracking, forecasting, and monitoring project performance against agreed financial targets.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, costs, quality, and resource utilization, taking corrective action when performance deviates from agreed expectations.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.
• Own and facilitate change control processes, evaluating their impact on scope, budget, resources, and timelines.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards and are formally accepted by the appropriate stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, financial performance, dependencies, and key decisions clearly and accurately to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure project and product quality reviews take place according to established processes and timelines.
• Support project governance, including project control boards, assurance activities, and quality review meetings.
• Establish and maintain appropriate project management processes, controls, tools, and documentation.
• Provide guidance on project proposals, planning, scheduling, tracking, risk management, change management, quality, finance, and resource management.
• Partner closely with creative, strategy, delivery, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
