A. Stucki Company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in Mexico. You will maintain records, perform reconciliations, and assist with monthly close in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using SAP.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of SAP accounting experience, and strong English communication skills to collaborate with multinational teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Mexico. This position will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, maintain accurate financial records, perform account reconciliations, and assist with the monthly close process.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using SAP in an accounting environment, a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Must Happen in This Role

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.


• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.


• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.


• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP.


• Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper account coding.


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.


• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.


• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts.


• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management reporting.


• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual account activity.


• Maintain organized documentation and supporting schedules for financial transactions.


• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation and explanations.


• Support compliance with Mexican accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.


• Work closely with Operations and other departments to resolve financial and accounting issues.


• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.


• Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on SAP experience required.


• Conversational English skills are required to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.


• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.


• Experience supporting financial reporting and audits preferred.


• Familiarity with Mexican accounting and tax requirements.


• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.


• Experience working for a multinational or international organization is a plus.


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
