Milwaukee Electronics seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance for its Mexico operations. The role is hands-on, focusing on Mexican regulations, payroll-related compliance, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting.

The candidate will prepare financial statements, manage closings, maintain ledgers, and ensure IVA/IEPS compliance. ERP systems (Epicor) and bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued for smooth cross-border

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience preparing Mexico financial statements.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and SAT requirements.
  • Hands-on experience preparing tax returns and VAT refund applications.
  • Knowledge of IVA & IEPS Certification.
  • Experience with payroll accounting, IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR, SUA, and State Payroll Tax.
  • Experience with inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • ERP experience required; Epicor experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for the Mexico legal entity.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax calculations and filings, including IVA, ISR, withholding taxes, and payroll taxes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT refund (Devolución de IVA) applications and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with IVA & IEPS Certification requirements.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related accounting and statutory obligations, including IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR, SUA, and State Payroll Tax.
  • Prepare accounting for employee benefits, including vacation, Aguinaldo, PTU, bonuses, and other labor-related obligations.
  • Prepare inventory reconciliations and support cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare financial reporting and supporting schedules for the U.S. corporate office.
  • Account for foreign currency transactions and exchange rate gains and losses.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify and implement improvements and automation within accounting processes.
  • Support ERP system improvements, financial reporting enhancements, and accounting system implementations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Corporate Finance.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance activities of our Mexico operations.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations, financial statement preparation, payroll-related compliance, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting.
