Job summary

Santander in Mexico City is hiring for an FX L2 Production Support role. You will handle incidents for FX e-Trading and distribution systems, manage critical apps, and work within global follow-the-sun support. Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for FX e-Trading systems; investigate and resolve incidents.
• Maintain and support business-critical apps and their environments.
• Perform start-of-day checks, monitoring, and handovers in follow-the-sun model.
• Deliver support, maintenance and testing within Agile squads.
• Track and coordinate production issues to resolution with tech/vendor teams.
• Liaise with stakeholders, clients and third-party vendors.
• Identify improvements and automate repetitive support tasks.
• Support Liquidity Providers, pricing engines and aggregation platforms.
• Onboard clients to eCommerce/FX platforms; conduct conformance tests.
• Coordinate SSL config/licensing and certificate renewals with networks.
• Collaborate with UNIX/Linux, DB, Network, Market Data, Infra and Firewall teams.
• Use FIX knowledge to troubleshoot trading connectivity.
• Participate in DR/BCP tests and site switches; assist remediation.
• Document incidents and procedures in Confluence; support weekend/on-call rotas.

Country: Mexico

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support for FX e-Trading and Distribution systems, ensuring incidents are investigated, managed and resolved effectively.
• Manage, maintain and support business-critical applications and their operating environments.
• Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring and regional handovers as part of the global follow-the-sun support model.
• Deliver application support, maintenance and testing through Agile methodologies, working within squad-based teams.
• Track outstanding production issues and coordinate with appropriate technology, business and vendor teams through to resolution.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external clients and third-party vendors.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and automate repetitive or manual support activities.
• Provide support for Liquidity Providers, pricing engines and aggregation platforms.
• Coordinate and provide support for vendor and third-party FX applications.
• Perform client onboarding onto eCommerce / FX platforms, including conformance testing and monitoring of client connections.
• Work with Network teams on SSL configuration/licensing and certificate renewals.
• Work closely with UNIX/Linux, Database, Network, Market Data, Infrastructure and Firewall teams during outages and code/infrastructure changes.
• Use strong FIX protocol knowledge to troubleshoot electronic trading connectivity and message flows.
• Participate in bank-wide DR/BCP/isolation tests and site switches, and work with Production Support teams on remediation.
• Support infrastructure changes, business checkouts, releases and failovers, including planned weekend activity where required.
• Document incidents, known issues, operating procedures and new processes in Confluence.
• Participate in weekend and on-call support rotas. The resource must be flexible and willing to work in shift rotation across different time zones as required by the global support model.
