TE Connectivity Corporation is seeking a shift supervisor for our Tecate facility. The role oversees skilled-trade activities on assigned shifts, ensuring materials are allocated to meet the daily production schedule and maintaining labor and material requirements.

Responsibilities include auditing operations, enforcing plant procedures, and driving efficiency while upholding safety initiatives and OSHA guidelines.

Formación

• Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
• High school completion required; vocational training or AA preferred.
• Experience monitoring shift activities and enforcing plant procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Disperse and distribute materials to meet daily production schedule and manage labor/material requirements.
• Review and streamline departmental procedures to improve work orders and efficiency.
• Perform periodic audits to maintain production activity and enforce plant policies.
• Monitor safety initiatives, coordinate monthly training and drills per OSHA guidelines.

Job Description

Job Overview

Monitors the shift activities for skilled trade employees on assigned shifts, including facility and manufacturing equipment.

Job Requirements

• Managing the dispersal and distribution of materials for production; maintaining labor and material requirements to meet the daily production schedule.
• Reviewing the departmental operating procedures, ensuring timely completion of work orders in line with department procedures, removing obstacles, and streamlining operational efficiency.
• Performing audits periodically, maintaining the production activity throughout the particular shift, and enforcing the plant procedures and policies.
• Monitoring the safety initiatives, monthly training, mock drills, and ensuring compliance with the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) guidelines.

What your background should look like

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related work experience. Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.
