Hussmann in Oaxaca, Mexico, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to plan, organize and direct production activities in assigned plant areas to meet safety, quality, productivity and cost goals.

The role emphasizes mentorship and teamwork, coaching hourly staff, and collaborating on Lean Six Sigma initiatives. You will lead large units, guide continuous improvement projects and support plant leadership during change initiatives and customer visits.

Formación

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in feeder and assembly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of presentations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes.
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Lean training.
  • Leadership skills training.
  • OSHA/STOP training.
  • IRU courses – Interpersonal Skills, Team Leadership, Roadmap for Change, Business Acumen, and Leader Level People Management.
  • External candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing an advanced degree.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, organize and direct manufacturing activities for specific plant areas to meet objectives.

  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects; oversee at least two green belt projects annually.
  • Lead large manufacturing units with 100+ reports; act as interim Focus Factory Manager.
  • Mentor and train supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Sponsor customer/dealer visits to the plant.
  • Drive major change initiatives and complete requirements for supervisor levels.

Descripción del empleo

Responsibilities

Plan, organize and direct manufacturing activities for specific areas of the plant to meet established plant objectives. Serve as a teacher, coach and advisor to facilitate teamwork and continued employee development.

Act as a resource to less senior supervisors, who typically report to me.

  • Provide manufacturing process and team support to complex operations. Offer direction, expertise and effort in specific manufacturing areas. Maintain focus on meeting plant objectives in safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost.
  • Collaborate on various black belt and green belt Lean Six Sigma projects. Consistently lead at least 2 green belt projects annually and provide support, direction, and expertise on lean six‑sigma projects of less senior supervisors.
  • Lead the largest manufacturing units totaling a minimum of 100 total reports. Function as interim Focus Factory Manager as needed.
  • Mentor and support the efforts and activities of less senior supervisors. Facilitate and actively participate in the development and training of supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Sponsor customer/dealer visits to the plant.
  • Drive major change initiatives, such as employee involvement programs. (Must also complete the requirements for Manufacturing Supervisor I, II, & III.)
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of experience, with a minimum of two years in both feeder and assembly departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver effective presentations and be attuned to the perspectives, needs, and concerns of others.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of key manufacturing principles and processes.
  • 6 Sigma green belt certification.
  • Lean training.
  • Leadership skills training.
  • OSHA/STOP training.
  • Completion of IRU courses – Interpersonal Skills, Team Leadership, Roadmap for Change, Business Acumen, and Leader Level People Management.

External candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing an advanced degree. Internal candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are in the process of completing a degree.
