Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior VoIP/SIP Developer to design and implement advanced call-routing systems for a production telecom platform. You will work on intelligent routing, operator integrations, and robust SIP infrastructure in a fully remote, international team.

You will apply Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript to backend services, while leveraging Kamailio/OpenSIPS, PostgreSQL, Linux, and Docker in a scalable cloud environment. Strong autonomy and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience working with SIP/VoIP in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kamailio or OpenSIPS.
• Backend development with Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to own technical solutions from conception to production.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain intelligent call-routing solutions for production SIP/VoIP environments.
• Integrate multiple telecom operators and optimize call routes by cost, quality, availability.
• Implement and maintain SIP routing, prefix-based routing, failover mechanisms, and related logic.
• Develop backend services using Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Work with Kamailio or OpenSIPS to build SIP infrastructure.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases supporting routing and telephony workflows.
• Deploy and operate services using Linux, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production issues across SIP signaling, routing, and backend services.
