Job summary

QualityAI in Torreón is seeking a Senior SDET/Test Engineering Lead to own release gates and ensure platform quality at scale. You will design test strategies, validate APIs and contracts, and drive automated regression within CI/CD pipelines.

You will lead performance testing with real historical workloads, emphasize data integrity, and oversee defect management, documentation, and knowledge transfer to operations.

Qualifications

• Senior SDET or similar with ownership of release gates.
• Advanced Python test automation (PyTest or equivalent).
• Strong CI/CD experience with enforced quality gates.
• Proven experience performance testing data-intensive platforms with real historical workloads.
• Expertise in API, integration, and contract testing across distributed services.
• Experience with containerized testing environments, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of data quality, schema validation, and pipeline verification.
• Able to make independent release decisions and halt deployments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy, environments, tooling, and data for the platform and services.
• Design and execute API, services, and integration tests; validate contracts.
• Build and maintain automated regression suites; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and run performance tests using full-corpus historical replay; assess scalability.
• Develop automated checks to prevent data leakage into scoring paths; own CI tests.
• Provide independent test and performance sign-off for production promotions.
• Raise, triage, prioritize, and track defects; deliver test suites and runbooks.
